The Projects carried out by some of my 2019 Mentees

The pace at which Nigeria is driving towards underdevelopment is on the increase, the youths on the one hand shy away from participating in community development activities.

Impact of my online coaching class

Through this platform I am contributing to solve the problem by mentoring the youths to voluntarily participate in developing their communities by carrying out projects like construction of boreholes, medical facilities, libraries, toilets, skill acquisition, among others in States like Enugu, Anambra, Abuja, Niger, Bayelsa, Gombe, Katsina, Taraba among others

The significant achievement such as construction of boreholes in funtua in Katsina, Yenagoa in Bayelsa, Karu Abuja or the construction of public toilets at Maikunkule in Niger and Okolobri in Bayelsa among others, carried out by my mentees under my tutelage

Below are some of the projects in the year 2019.

This is Dr Abiola serving in Abia. Carrying out a personal community development project in a primary health care center in Umuahia. And the beneficiaries are mostly women and children.

Project: Public borehole and Medical Outreach
Location: Opolo Community in Yenagoa local govt, Bayelsa
Number of Beneficiaries: 500 persons from the community
Cost of project: 655,000

State of Service: Katsina
Project: Revamping of two (2) Public boreholes (2019)
Location: Zamfarawa road DanDutse ward Funtua LGA of Katsina state.
Number of Beneficiaries: 200 persons from the community.

It is good to note that i also assisted him in getting sponsor (haske water aid) to support his project.

This is the projects carried out by Oladimeji Mayowa Olawunmi (IM/18B/1394) Serving in Imo State.

On 25th of April, 2019 to mark world malaria day she did a walk against malaria ( sensitization of the community on malaria prevention). Other project includes

– Malaria test, blood pressure check, blood glucose check
– deworming of children and vitamin A collection
– distribution of mosquito nets to pregnant and nursing mothers
– distribution of insecticides
-drugs
Basically it was a free medical outreach to over 250 people (mostly women and children.

Location of book project …. Army Day Secondary School, Obinze, Owerri west, IMO State.
She Donated  210 books( textbooks, literature books, history books, leadership/motivational books)and two shelves to the school’s library. Donation of two blackboards to the school

This is Oadoja Oladotun Yussuf from my class with state code OS/18B/3184 distributed sanitary pads to female secondary school students on Thursday 18th, July 2019 to mark the Nelson Mandela International Day.

Dr. Oladotun carried out this project as his Community Development Service (CDS) personal project to educate, create awareness and encourage adolescent girls on the use of sanitary pads. The success of the program was geared towards supporting the effort of government in the area of girl child reproduction health education.

it was an aura of excitement at L.A Secondary School, Ipetumodu, Ife North when a corps member; Oladoja Oladotun Yussuf with state code OS/18B/3184 distributed sanitary pads to female secondary school students on Thursday 18th, July 2019 to mark the Nelson Mandela International Day.

Dr. Oladotun carried out this project as his Community Development Service (CDS) personal project to educate, create awareness and encourage adolescent girls on the use of sanitary pads. The success of the program was geared towards supporting the effort of government in the area of girl child reproduction health education.

On Friday, the following day, the same program took place at Hudar Rahman International School, Odo-Oba Area along Awosun Express Road, Ipetumodu.
Thrilled with joy, the principal of Hudar Rahman International School, Mr Yusuf Ayinla, applauded the initiator of the program and appreciated his project impact on the students.

Finally, Dr. Oladotun rendered all the glory to God for the realization of the project which cost thousands of naira and appreciated the help of his fellow corps members. He was also grateful to his sponsors especially Dr pastor Abiola and Mr Yusuf Salaudeen without the support of whom the project would not be materialized.

This is David Terry Aduka with NYSC number (Gm/18C/0206) serving in Gombe State.
He carried out several projects (between July – August, 2019), some which includes;

Workshop on how to choose a career to 200 Students of G.D.S.S Bula, Akko L.G.A of Gombe.

Donation of 5 office tables and 5 office chairs to G.D.S.S Akko.

Skill Acquisition Training on how to make liquid soap and air freshener to 300 Students of G.D.S.S Akko.

Award of Scholarship to 15 Outstanding Students who came 1st to 3rd position from J.s.s 1 to s.s 2 and 15 Indigent/Orphans totalling 30 Students in G.D.S.S Lawanti, Akko LGA of Gombe.

Organized quiz competition among selected govt and private primary schools in Akko LGA.

This is Muhammad Bukar serving in Gombe.

He carried out a Library project at Ashaka community where he was later awarded by the Governor for an outstanding community service.

The State honor award and certificate given to him

This is Enwose Augustine with NYSC/DPU/2019/069518 currently serving in Kebbi State.
The project took place Government girls science college, dakingari, kebbi state where he carried out a skill acquisition training for the teenage girls in the school.
According to him, the beneficiaries are over a 1,000 students

This is Ako, Esther Martin(OG/19A/0856) serving in Ogun State.  She carried out a skill acquisition training where she taught the students on shoe making.
The beneficiaries of her tutelage are from Nana Apori and Cecil college in Ogun State with a total of 21 and 11 respectively.

This one is personal to me because I know her right from home and she happened to subscribe to my free (online) community service coaching class.

This is Ige Ayodeji Ezekiel (KW/19B/0046) currently serving in Kwara state who carried out a free eye examination and dispensing of free reading Glasses to 150 adults in Tanke Oke-Odo community Ilorin kwara.
